A Work in Progress
So I'm still fussing with this site trying to get it figured out. Hopefully I will be able to finish TODAY!!! My goals for the day..take Seth to the Chiropractor, make a great dinner, give Delaina some one on one time and hopefully make time to read.
I am the wife of the best man in the world. Robert has been the love of my life for the past 14 years, he has always been my #1 fan :) We have 4 unique and special kids. Lucas is my ever changing teenager, Delaina is my prepubescent protoge, Seth could pass for his dad's twin, and Liam is the charmer. I cherish my role as wife and mother but totally appreciate the things in my life that make me..ME! It's easy to get caught up in my husband's military career, dealing with the challenges of a child with Special Needs and all the rest of it!
Sooooo, I love to read. I love garage sales and perusing thrift stores. I love summer. I love the sunshine. I love being a Christ follower, learning daily. I love the smell of baby's breath. I love sleeping. I love comedies. I love to people watch. I love snuggling with my kids :) I'm sure I love more things, but these are the things that jump off the top.
Sex Begins in the Kitchen, How to Make Your Children Mind Without Losing Yours...both by Dr. Kevin Lehman. He is not only very smart with a lot of wonderful insights and advice but so super funny as well!
Bringing up Boys by Dr. James Dobson is another great one if you are dealing with the frustration & joy of raising a little man!
Wanna read a life changing book ladies? If you feel like you are the end of your rope then The Worn Out Woman by Dr. Steve Stephens and Alice Gray is JUST the book for you!
My Escape From Reality Reads
The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. I have her book Little Altars waiting in the wings.
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I read it because I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie. I plan to read the rest of her books!
The Notebook, The Wedding, A Bend in the Road, and the list could go on and on! I love love love Nicholas Sparks.
